To start the quest loot The Mathers Note from The Corpse of Brice Mathers. There are several clues to the whereabouts of Yarren Mathers, if you don't wish to find them or don't want to, he is located in Vitheo's Watch on the beach at his camp (he is only available to chat at night time), by the Old Krakengard Keep.
It is currently impossible to complete the 3rd part of this quest.

| 2 | The Mather's Demise, Part 2 | Yarren Mathers has given you a key to an old church he says is buried in the hills of Blacksalt Strand.
Locate the church, and see what secrets it holds. Return any tomes you find to Yarren and he may share more of what he knows with you. |
| 3 | The Mather's Demise, Part 3 | Yarren Mathers has studied the Chapters of Descent you found in the old Church. The tale of Sivakaya, Azynthi, and The Wisp has become more clear, but is still shrouded in mystery. Yarren would like to see any other documents you might find on the matter. |
