Overview

Enemies can be found throughout the various zones and dungeons of Erenshor. Killing enemies generally rewards players with experience, gold, equipment, and various other items.

Occasionally you will also come across things more striking than the ordinary enemies you see just about everywhere in Erenshor: rare variants, and even bosses. It is recommended to challenge these foes with a party of trusty Simulated Players. It is well worth taking on these elite enemies as they are usually higher level, yield more experience, and carry rare items.

Level Variation

There is an approximately 20% chance that an enemy will spawn with a level that is one greater or one less than its base level. These variations can change the amount of experience an enemy gives, with stronger enemies generally giving more experience and weaker enemies generally giving less.

  • Note that these variations may cause an enemy to give no experience if its level is five or more beneath that of the player.
  • If a member of the party is a lower level, they may also be attacked by enemies that might otherwise ignore the player.

Respawn Timers

All enemies and bosses have a set base respawn time upon being killed, after which they will reappear. This respawn time can be accelerated, depending on the player's party size:

Party Size 1 2 3 4
Speed Increase 0% 10% 45% 45%

For example, an enemy with a base respawn of 10 seconds might respawn in 9 seconds if the player is grouped with one sim player, or 5.5 seconds if they are grouped with 3 or 4 sim players.

Enemy Strength & Aggression

You can tell an enemy's strength at a glance by looking at the color of the ring that surrounds them.

It is possible to assess an enemy's approximate strength by clicking them and pressing "C" to consider them. Alternatively, you can simply look at the color of the ring that surrounds an enemy's base. Depending on the text and color, it is possible to tell an opponent's aggression level towards you, as well as how their level compares to yours:

Human Aggression Levels
regards you as a hero Friendly
looks upon you kindly Friendly
is indifferent towards you Neutral
looks tense in your presence Neutral
looks threateningly in your direction Aggressive
scowls and braces to attack Aggressive
Enemy Strength Levels
This opponent is not worth your time. 4+ levels below you
You should easily win this battle. 1-3 levels below you
You'd be an even match for this opponent. Same level as you
This is a strong opponent. 1-3 levels above you
You wouldn't stand a chance alone! 4+ levels above you
  • Non-human and undead creatures will always default to aggressive, with the text "postures and prepares to attack" preceding their strength.
  • Enemies will no longer attack if their level is 6 or more below that of the lowest-leveled member of the party, regardless of their aggression level.

Global Drops

Enemies with rare drops have a blue glow.

While each enemy has their own individual drop table, there are several items that have the potential to drop from every enemy the party defeats, depending on their level. An enemy corpse containing one or more of these items will have a blue glow emanating from it.

Bread, Water, Brackfruit Juice, Luminstone, Citrine Stone, and Star Stone are also Global Drops, but have a 10% chance to replace another drop from an enemy.
