Simulated Players
Simulated Players are AI-controlled NPCs who share the world of Erenshor with the player. They can be recruited to join the player's party, sell and buy items in the Auction House, and can be encountered solo and in parties throughout the various Zones and Dungeons of the game.

Group Management
SimPlayers can be invited and controlled through two UI elements.
Group Builder
The group builder is an easy and convenient way to invite SimPlayers to your party or to manage your friends list.
The window can be used to quickly filter the list of available SimPlayers by class or friend status as well as providing a list of suggested SimPlayers around your level. Each SimPlayer's name and class will be displayed along with the zone they are currently in.
By clicking on a SimPlayer name, you select it from the list and can perform tasks against it. The selected SimPlayer's selection box will have a green border and the zone will be highlighted in yellow in the display, such as Lumina in the image shown. SimPlayers on your friend list will have a heart icon to quickly differentiate them as well. The invite button will invite the SimPlayer to join your group. The friend button will either add or remove a SimPlayer from your friend list.
Grouping Mechanics
Partying with simulated players adjusts experience and enemy respawn times. Overall, playing with simulated players grants more experience and more loot per hour.
Role Manager
When a player is in a group with other sim players you can find the role manager listed with the other sim player commands. Below is an explanation of how each role acts.
- Main Tank: This role will attempt to keep the enemy aggression focused on them with taunts and damage. Only one player can be set as this role.
- Main Assist: This role will make the sim players focus whichever target the Main Assist has selected as their target. Only one player can be set as this role. If the player is the Main Assist and they kill their target the sim players will go idle until a new target is selected.
- Healing/Mana: This role will make the sim player focus on healing members of their party and will make Duelist sim players recover mana when it falls low.
- Crowd Control: This role will focus on keeping enemies under the effects of stuns / roots / etc. You must set yourself as this role or Sim Players will still target and attack enemies under the effect of Crowd Control abilities.
- Puller: This role will set which sim player/player will perform the enemy pulling when you use the Pull Target command or Auto Pull. Only one player can be set as this role.
Autopull Settings
- Max pull target Lv. above: The maximum level your puller will consider when auto-pulling. This is based on the level of the puller, not the player or group average
- Max pull target Lv. below: The minimum level your puller will consider when auto-pulling. This is based on the level of the puller, not the player or group average
- Max distance to pull: The distance at which the puller will look for enemies to pull. For refences, one unit is approximately one meter and most spells have a range of 30.
- Hold if under % group mana: The puller will wait until the average group mana is at or above this percentage when pulling
Experience Gain
Enemies give less experience the more SimPlayers you have in your party. Experience gained is always rounded to the nearest whole number.
- Solo: You get 100% of the experience.
- 2-Player Party: You get 70% of the experience.
- 3-Player Party: You get 50% of the experience.
- 4-Player Party: You get 40% of the experience.
Reduced Respawn Rates
Enemies respawn faster the more SimPlayers you have in your party, although there is a slight variation in their exact respawn times.
- Solo: Base respawn time.
- 2-Player Party: -9% respawn time on enemies.
- 3-Player Party: -33.3% respawn time on enemies.
- 4-Player Party: -44.4% respawn time on enemies.
Item Abilities
SimPlayers will use activatable abilities on their gear even if it is not equipped. This means it is advantageous to give them each an
Infused Bracelet and the
Seaslimed Bracelet as it will allow them to have the
Nourished and
Hydrated buffs respectively. They will also use pet items such as the
Warhound Collar and the
Malaroth Tag which can be extremely beneficial for both DPS and survivability as the pets can absorb some of the damage if they pull aggro from the tank or your tank dies.
Party Window
When you are in a group, the party window appears, allowing you to monitor and control your simplayers. Many of these commands also have a /group equivalent shown below.
- X: The X icon next to each name allows you to kick that member from the group
- Attack (Shift+1): Tells your party to attack your selected target
- Assist MA (Shift+2): Changes your target to the main assist's target
- Follow (Shift+3): Tells your party to follow you
- Pull Target (Shift+4): Tells your puller to pull your target. They will wait until the party mana is at the specified threshold, but will ignore any level limits you have set
- Auto-pull Toggle (Shift+5): Controls whether or not your puller will automatically pull new targets
- Guard (Shift+6): Tells your party to stay where they are
- Run Away (Shift+7): Tells your party to immediately run to the zone border Important: This is not guaranteed to be the closest zone border, so beware of which direction your SimPlayers run!
- Manage Roles: Opens the Group Management Window
Commands
Below is a list of the commands relevant to SimPlayers:
- /players - get a list of all players in zone.
- /friend - targeting a SimPlayers and using the command "/friend" rebinds them to your current character, ensuring that they will always be at a close enough level to group with them.
- /ascview - select a SimPlayer and use this command to see a list of their Ascension Skills and the levels of the SimPlayers Ascension skills.
- /r - replies to the last player who messaged you with a whisper.
- /all players - get a list of all players in the game.
- /shout - allows you to shout something to all players in zone.
- /whisper [player name] - send a private message to said recipient. Typing /w will instantly fill in "/whisper " so make sure to not press spacebar, otherwise it will whisper a blank name instead of what you write after that. If you want to for example whisper Scrubby you would have to type "/wScrubby".
- /group - sends a message in group chat. In group chat you can give orders to your teammates
Sub-commands
Some of the commands have sub-commands to help you better communicate with SimPlayers. You can write any text you want as long as it includes the following keywords (eg "/group Be careful, these enemies are very tightly packed together." instead of just "/group careful"). Adding more flavor is completely up to your own immersion.
/group:
- attack / kill / fight - tells your party to attack your selected target
- pull / grab - tells your designated puller to pull your selected target
- stop pulling / hold pulls / no pulls - commands your puller to stop pulling entirely
- wait / guard / stay - commands your group to not move until another command is given
- follow / come - commands your group to resume following you
- run / flee / escape - commands the group to attempt to run to the nearest zone boundary and transition in order to revive all party members and exit combat
- careful / cautious - reduces SimPlayer aggro range to 6 meters
- aggressive / burn - reverts SimPlayer aggro range to the default 32 meters
- mana - requests sim players current mana count
- where / loc - requests sim players current location
/whisper:
- group / join / party / help / come - asks the SimPlayer if they would like to group, and if they agree they will make their way towards you. Important: SimPlayers will only accept if they are within 3 levels of you.
- where are / wru - asks the SimPlayer where they are, they will respond with their current zone and nearby points of interest
- what level / level - asks the SimPlayer what level they are
- doing / what are you doing - asks the SimPlayer what they are currently doing
- hello / hi - greets the SimPlayer. If they know you from past adventures, they may reference your grouping history, items received, and how long it's been since you last played together
- thanks / ty / thank you - thanks the SimPlayer, they will respond with acknowledgments like "no problem", "yw", or ":)"
- sorry - apologizes to the SimPlayer if you didn't actually invite them to your party after sending them a group message. This clears their memory of being abandoned
/shout:
- LFG - asks SimPlayers in the nearby zone if they want to group. Generic LFG has a 20% response rate, but naming a specific SimPlayer guarantees a response (e.g., "/shout LFG Baetil")
- LFG healer - asks only Druid and Paladin SimPlayers if they want to group
- LFG tank - asks only Paladin SimPlayers if they want to group
- LFG dps - asks only Duelist and Arcanist SimPlayers if they want to group
- hello / hi - greets all SimPlayers in the nearby zone. 40% will respond, or 100% if you name them specifically
- goodnight / bye / night - tells all nearby SimPlayers goodnight. 40% will respond, or 100% if you name them specifically
- ding / level up - announces that you leveled up. SimPlayers may congratulate you (40% chance for normal SimPlayers, 50% for troublemakers who may respond sarcastically)
Notes
Occasionally when you invite a SimPlayer to group, they may reply with "Hey I'm in a group atm but it's not going great. Ask me again in a sec. I'll finish up with these guys." and will refuse your invite. You can immediately invite them a second time and they will come; you do not actually have to wait.
If you curse or are rude to a SimPlayer, they may block you from sending them further tells. They will automatically unblock you after a few minutes.
SimPlayers remember your name, past adventures, items received, and grouping history. They reference these memories in conversation and their opinion of you affects how enthusiastically they respond to your requests.
Progression
Spells and Skills
SimPlayers will immediately learn new skills and spells when they hit the required level for them. The only exceptions to this at the moment are the max level skill books obtained from The Faceless bosses, which must be traded to a simplayer for them to learn the ability.
Levels and Friendship
Each SimPlayer is bound to a character slot, which makes their progression roughly match the character in that slot. This means that generally there should always be some SimPlayers available for grouping.
Additionally, targeting a SimPlayer and using the command "/friend" rebinds them to your current character, ensuring that they will always be at a close enough level to group with them.
World Progression
When a player logs out, the SimPlayers continues to contribute to the world. Every time you log out, there is a minimum of 6 hours of simulated activity generated. If you are logged out for more than six hours, it will simulate the entire duration you were offline. This keeps the game world active by progressing SimPlayers auctions, gearing and leveling even between sessions. This system helps maintain a sense of continuity and ensures that the environment evolves naturally between play sessions.
