Furnaces are used to smelt down ores into specific mold's obtainable in the world. To use a furnace simply get close to it and left-click it, this will bring up the Smithing Window. From there drag in the materials required into their designated spaces and combine, if it's successful you will get a message prompt in the chat 'item successfully forged!' and the item will be in the Components window for you to claim.
