Proficiencies
Proficiencies enhance the effectiveness of individual stats.
Proficiencies
Proficiencies are used in calculations as a modifier on the base stat at a ratio of 1% per proficiency point. For example, a strength value of 100 with a proficiency of 10 would result in 100 * (10/100) in calculations, giving a value of 10. This is then input into the hidden calculations for damage, HP, etc. Allocating proficiencies in various specs can allow you to focus on particular areas such as damage or crit rates or allow you to shore up defenses by putting points into endurance for bonus HP, agility for extra AC, and so on. This flexibility lets you tailor your character to your specific play style and available gear.
Starting Proficiencies
Each class has 52 starting proficiency points pre-allocated with an additional 10 points to assign freely. Each class receives a new proficiency point every other level, leading to a total of 27 points that can be assigned.

Allocating Points
If you have proficiency points available to spend, you will see a message in your chat window stating "You have unspent PROFICIENCY POINTS! Open your inventory to assign them." You can allocate proficiency points by clicking the flashing plus icon at the top of your inventory screen. Simulated Players will allocate their own points automatically based upon their class and personality. Charms provide additional proficiency points, freeing up your assignable points to be used in other areas. You may allocate a total of 40 points to any single proficiency. If an item, such as a charm, causes you to exceed that value, it will remain capped a 40, wasting those points. If this happens, simply respec your points and reallocate them to another stat.
Respeccing
You are free to change proficiency points for you or your simulated players at the Spirit of the Willow beneath the large tree in the Fernalla's Revival Plains. To reallocate your own, click the "Respec" button beneath the proficiency icon. For simulated players, the respec button appears at the bottom of their inventory screen.
